The Twitter Dreamteam

The worldcup Soccer is starting soon.

Time to get everyone in the right mood.

Twitter decided to bring this to the crowd.

Twitter has created a dreamteam for this event, based on the soccerplayer hero's from today and from history to decide who should be selected.

The selection criteria are simple " Followers"

Hero's from yesterday have large groups of followers on Twitter, even as big as the stars from today. Don't we all rememer Ronaldo ( Luis Nazario de Lima) , he scored 2 goals for Brasil to win the finals in 2002. Or Diego Maradona for Argentina (Argentina – England ) in 1986. Incredible solo from the midfield to goal.....

These inactive stars are active stars on Twitter sharing their after-soccer lives and old pictures and stories.

Just a few weeks and the biggest tournament of all starts. All over the world the crowd follows twitter for the latest updates on the games, players and tournament. Who will win this edition, the favourites like Brasil, or Spain, and which underdog will rise to the occasion?

S0, the dreamteam according to Twitter statistics?

There are two teams from this selection. The GOAT and the XI Dreamteam.

A dreamteam consists of 11 legends. All of them extremely popular on Twitter. Beside the nomination for the dreamteam, these legend experts will also tweet their findings during the tournament.

This is the Dreamteam, only "retired" players. So good to see two dutch guys here, even though the Dutch didn't make it (again) to the tournament.
