New Survey Looks at the Role of Social Media in Employer Branding

Are you looking up the social media profiles of a company you are applying to and that of its current employees?

Indeed, many people look up all the information they have access to and that means that your brand's social profiles serve a purpose in terms of employer branding.

The Capitalize team recently surveyed more than 1,200 people to get their thoughts on how they search for new job information.

80% of them look up the social media profiles of current employees when applying for a job or even considering a position.

60% research a potential employer on LinkedIn before applying, but Glassdoor (51%), Facebook (37%) and Twitter (36%) are also important social platforms that potential employees look to for insight.

This data underscores the need for a more comprehensive employer branding strategy, and it may be worth reviewing your company's social media guidelines.
