Instagram is Testing New Scheduled Sticker for Stories

Instagram is presently testing a new 'Scheduled' sticker for Stories, which gives you even another method to promote your future events. The new 'Scheduled' sticker, as seen in these photographs by app researcher Ahmed Ghanem, allows you to share a reminder for your events in your Story, along with a direct link to your events listing so you can choose which specific event you wish to promote.

As part of the initial setup process, you can promote upcoming events in Stories and the mainstream, but there's currently no way to simply re-share and re-promote them once they've been set. The Countdown sticker can also be used to promote anticipation, although it does not have a direct link to the event itself.

There are workarounds, such as combining the countdown sticker with the link sticker to bring visitors to pertinent information, but this new option is better integrated and especially linked to direct, streamlined event advertising in the app. That might be a terrific way to raise awareness for your events, and I'm sure musicians and other performance-based artists will find it extremely useful in terms of driving more direct traffic and promotion.

Brands will be able to re-promote forthcoming releases and events using the sticker, and there are a variety of uses that could aid in your efforts.

As long as you don't use it excessively, people will understand the gist so you won't have to re-share reminders of your event/s every day, but it could be a helpful reminder to keep it in front of your followers' minds.

The new 'Scheduled' sticker is now available in the current version of the app for select users.
