Annette Male of Wunderman Thompson Has Been Named to Oversee Facebook's APAC Agency Development Team
Annette Male, the chief executive officer of Wunderman Thompson, has been appointed to manage Facebook's agency development team in the Asia Pacific. Male will supervise Facebook's agency connections in the region in her new role, assisting them in driving development for their clients and connecting brands with consumers in a relevant and personalized manner. After starting her new job in October, she will report to Patrick Harris, Facebook's vice-president of global agency development.

“We are happy to welcome Annette Male as Facebook's head of the agency in APAC,” Harris added. As clients adjust to the shifting media landscape in pursuit of growth and digital transformation, the role of agencies has never been more crucial.
“Annette's experience will be valuable as we look for new ways to invest and make our platforms and capabilities available to agencies of all sizes.”
“I'm a great champion for agencies and the value they offer to clients' businesses,” Male continued. I'm ecstatic to be able to champion them within Facebook and assist them in making the most of the resources at their disposal to help them drive client growth.”
Male has been the CEO of Wunderman Thompson since the merger of Wunderman and J W Thompson in 2019. Male was the regional director of Publicis' digital agency Digitas before joining Wunderman Thompson. She has worked in prominent positions in Asia and Europe, including as deputy managing director at integrated agency Kitcatt Nohr, as well as CHI & Partners, Tequila London, and TBWAGGT.
