WhatsApp to Release 'Emoji and Sticker' Group Icon Editing Feature
With over 2 billion active users, Facebook-owned WhatsApp is the most popular feature. When it comes to choosing the perfect group image for a WhatsApp group, users occasionally run into challenges.
Now, the messaging app is experimenting with a tool called group icon editor, which enables users to utilize emoji and stickers as group graphics. This will appear on the iOS beta version of WhatsApp.
As per WABetaInfo, the most recent WhatsApp beta for iOS now has a group icon editor that allows users to quickly customize the image for a group. For the group image, users have two options: use a background color with either an emoji or a sticker. Any of these can be selected by users, and the group image would be created immediately.
WhatsApp also has a new option that allows users to choose an image for the group or upload a new one, as well as an "Emoji and Sticker" option that takes them to a new page with two tabs labeled Emoji and Sticker, according to the source.
On the first tab, users can select the appropriate emoji on their phone, and on the second tab, they can select sticker packs. They will see a circular preview of the new group image after picking a background. Users can set it as the group image by clicking the Done button.
