Pinterest Adds Hebrew to Language Options
With the addition of Hebrew as a new language option, Pinterest aims to expand accessibility for more users.
According to Pinterest:
“Today, Pinterest is launching in Hebrew for Pinners around the world. With more than 55 million Pins in Hebrew already on Pinterest, we want to make it even easier for Pinners to discover fresh ideas and get inspired for their life’s projects in their preferred language.”
Pinterest is currently the third most popular social app in Israel, where Hebrew is the main language spoken by the country's 9 million residents.
Hebrew is also used by many people in Poland and in some communities in the US, which could facilitate access for many more people, which could help boost usage.
Pinterest's monthly active users have steadily declined, with the app losing some 47 million users by 2021, and adding Hebrew won't immediately allow Pinterest to recoup a significant chunk of its lost user base, but may be able to get its growth momentum back on track.
To select Hebrew as your language on Pinterest, go to your phone's settings and select "Language & Region" and then the Hebrew option. By default, the Pinterest app follows your device's language settings.
