Google Introduces 'Google for Creators' Platform, Offering Advice on Digital Content Strategies

With a new platform meant to help creators maximize their efforts, Google hopes to play a significant part in fueling the expanding creator economy.

As stated in the video, Google's new 'Google for Creators' resource offers a variety of ideas, guides, and insights to help people wishing to start a content business online with further guidance and strategic notes.

The website has a variety of essential resources, including advice from individuals who have previously found success, as well as information about Google's products. The platform also includes connections to a number of guides on topics such as content strategy, audience development, monetization, and more.

If you're not sure where to begin, there's a quiz that can point you in the right direction.

There are some useful points in here – they aren't overly detailed, but they do give you an idea of how to go about developing an effective content strategy and what you should think about in your approach, with a Google-specific tilt (e.g. there are notes on image compression to improve site load times).

Many of these types of guides are ineffective since the advice is limited to vague phrases such as "produce good and engaging content."

Of course, it's not that simple, and while Google's overviews don't go much further, the notes are somewhat more practical, which could help you out more in your approach.

There are also links to several Google products that can be useful, such as Search Console insights and Google Analytics, as well as a 'Community' tab that lists forthcoming events.

It's worth a look if you're searching for methods to improve your content strategy — it might not be the one that completely transforms your approach, but the strategic suggestions could provide further insight to help guide your preparation.
