Facebook and its Family Apps Connect Fans to Olympic Games
The Olympics have started!
Fans from selected countries will be given access to Tokyo 2020 highlights such as athlete profiles and interviews via official Olympic broadcasters' Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts.
This includes NBC Universal in the US, Eurosport for part of Europe and beIN in the Middle East and North Africa.

Facebook has also announced that their new features will let people enjoy the on-going Tokyo Olympics 2020 while Instagram and WhatsApp will help people discover content and cheer their teams.
"In select territories including India, Russia, Sub-Saharan Africa and Spanish-speaking Latin America, fans can see the day's highlights from Tokyo on the official Olympics Facebook Page," the company said on Friday.
On the main platform, Facebook users will see highlights from official Olympics broadcast partners, team and athlete overviews, explanations of competitions that are new to the Games, history, as well as posts from friends and more.
Instagram will bring unique experiences for its users both in Stories and Reels with the help of augmented reality (AR) effects. While WhatsApp had just added an official Olympic chat box that will also include official stickers and quizzes on various Olympic events. Fans can also engage with it to explore the #StrongerTogether campaign.
